Having heard that it had been toned down a lot, I was apprehensive about going to see the movie, but was pleasantly surprised that the churchies were depicted as cruel and inhuman. They could have been more explicit with the atheist/antitheist message, but at the same time they wanted to make a film that people would see, and you only have to watch 'This Film Is Not Yet Rated' to get an idea of how hard it is to get a progressive film past the censors...
