<description>The OLPC project has, in my opinion, just received some very real educational credibility. Congratulations on taking a very simple idea, having the sum of all knowledge in your pocket, and then have this knowledge get into the hands of kids that will be inspired by it. I walk into schools on a daily basis that have absolutely no teaching aids for teachers to use and children to be inspired by, and having this at their disposal would be huge.

So, with that said, how about a 2.0 port? :-)

		<description>Glad you like it!

There's more info on these pages:

http://blog.printf.net/articles/2008/06/02/wikipedia-on-xo
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/WikiBrowse

I should also mention that Wade Brainerd (who's an OLPC volunteer) is responsible for the port from Ruby/Mongrel to Python/BaseHTTPServer and for writing a SWIG interface to the C layer. He did them in a ridiculously short period of time, too. :)
